The Eateries of Victor and Cripple Creek

The first thing to know about the food options in Victor and Cripple Creek are that there are not a ton of them, but the ones that are there are special. Both mountain towns, the population of Cripple Creek and Victor are not extensive, but if you’re not wanting to cook, there are some excellent options out there.

Victor has a few different options. Our favorites are Gold Camp Bakery, where you can get a mean sandwich and a warm cookie afterward. Then there is the recently opened Dirty Sally’s Pizzeria, where TJ, the owner, makes his own dough in house, which is no easy feat due to the weather and the elevation.

Cripple Creek has a few more options, as there are some excellent restaurants inside (and outside!) of the casinos lining the main street. The first is Baja Billy’s, a cute little Mexican restaurant that has some delicious tacos—and margaritas.

Another option is one of our favorites; Gold Camp Cafe is a beautiful little coffee shop with an extensive (and delicious) menu! It has regularly surprised us with its offerings, and we keep going back.

If you come across a restaurant in either of these towns that you enjoy, let us know! We want to hear about it and try out new spots.

Disclaimer: We have not tried every option out there, although we’re trying our best to do so! The places we mention here are ones that we have tried and loved, but we will add additional places here as we eat our way through Colorado!
